Artist's Comments
A commission i am doing, from a photograph i took myself at Badminton Horse Trials 2007,
the finished piece will be in my gallery 'Commissions' but because its a WIP it's staying in here [scraps dont get any love *laughs*] 5 and a bit hours now with breaks, starting to get further on. Slowly working up the face, very tedious as its very detailed. It looks a bit light scanned then in real life so i need to sort out my scanner settings, keep going back and shading more parts in and adding more detail.. its a hard one! ignore all the scribbing above the last part of the Grackle noseband, im plotting out where the highlights and main features of the face are going *laughs* just an eraser and mechanical pencil so far! apologies for rubbish scan, the paper is very messy still. finished piece will be £70-80 depending on how many hours it takes me to complete it   |
